But there’s no time to hesitate—The Great Con-Junction 2025 is the third and FINAL event of its kind, and it’s happening this February! This is your last chance to join the magic, meet the legends behind The Dark Crystal, and celebrate puppetry in a way you’ll never forget.
What’s The Great Con-Junction?
It’s the official Dark Crystal convention, PLUS a special film screening and the infamous Podling Party! This incredible event brings together puppetry experts, talented creators, and some of the most iconic characters from The Dark Crystal in a truly immersive two-day experience.
But be warned: this is the final Con-Junction, and once it’s over, that’s it. This is your last chance to be a part of this unique celebration of Thra, the Skeksis, and Gelflings. The first Great Con-Junction was held in 2020, and now, They’re closing this chapter at Elstree Film Studios, a place that’s as much a part of the Dark Crystal legacy as the characters themselves.

Podling Party (Saturday Night): 7:45 PM - 11:30 PM

Unmissable Workshops and Talks
This is your chance to learn from the very best in the industry. From puppetry workshops with Louise Gold and Warrick Brownlow-Pike to crafting your own Gelfling wings with Talie Fae, there’s something for every Dark Crystal fan. Other highlights include Donna Kimball’s voice acting masterclass, and an interactive session on how to walk like a Skeksis with Kiran Shah MBE. These workshops are a rare opportunity to connect with the creators and bring a little bit of Thra home with you.

The event is packed with the stars of The Dark Crystal! Meet Dave Goelz (Gonzo, Fizzgig, Garthim Master), Brian and Wendy Froud, Steve Whitmire, and Louise Gold, plus many more from the iconic cast and crew. The Podling Party—The Final Celebration!
If you’ve been dreaming of a night out in Thra, the Podling Party is the place to be on Saturday, 8th February! Join in the fun with themed drinks, music, performances, and a DJ from Thra. Come dressed in your best Podling or Dark Crystal cosplay—because this is the last chance to party like a true Thra-dweller!

For those of you who can’t attend in person, don’t worry—you can still get involved in our charity auction!
