Although I haven’t managed to visit this exhibition yet, I was lucky enough to see it in Berlin years ago, and it was absolutely magical—transporting me back to the early days of stop-motion animation.
This exhibition celebrates the genius of Ray Harryhausen, the mastermind behind some of Hollywood’s most iconic special effects. Developed in partnership with The Ray and Diana Harryhausen Foundation, it delves into his creative process, tracing his evolution as a filmmaking pioneer.
Expect unseen drawings from Jason and the Argonauts and The 7th Voyage of Sinbad, as well as rare projects and untold stories. It’s a unique chance to explore the artistry that shaped myths, martians, and creatures, and inspired some of Hollywood’s biggest directors.
If you love stop-motion or cinematic history, this is a must-see!
